Gram Vogel's Escalloped Sweet Potatoes

3 medium sweet potatoes put in buttered casserole.

Then, put layer of unpeeled orange, thinly sliced, next to thin unpeeled apples, cut really thin.

Cover with syrup of:

 1/2 cup water 

2 tblsp honey (I would use agave)

2 tblsp pineapple juice

2 tblsp orange juice, 

2 tblspn brown sugar 

1 tblspn butter

Cover all with 3 tbsps. bread crumbs

2 tbsps. brown sugar

2 tbsps butter

Add 6 big lightly browned marshmallows and merachino cherries
