Granny Sampson's Chocolate Cake 

1 c sugar

7 tsps. cocoa

1/2 c. shortening

1 egg

1 c milk soured with 1 tsp. vinegar and mixed with 1 tsp soda, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 c. flour

Cream sugar and shortening.  Add cocoa. Beat all in bowl. bake at 350 degrees for 30 minute
