baked parmesan garlic chicken wings

Here's what Corey and I made for Valentine's Day dinner and we're happy to report this made for a successful celebration of this commercial day of love (no judgement there on commercialism).

Ingredients:
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried rosemary
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon sea salt

2 1/2 pounds of chicken wings

2 Tblsp. olive oil (or melted butter)
2 tblsp. minced fresh basil
2 garlic cloves, finely minced
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt (we used Brittany gray salt from france because that's what we had)

dip:

1 cup blue cheese dressing
2 tsp dijon mustard or to taste

directions:

1. Preheat oven to 425F. In a small bowl, mix together the oregano, rosemary, cumin and salt. Lay the chicken wings on a baking sheet and season the chicken wings with this mixture.

2. Bake the chicken wings for 20-25 minutes. While the chicken is baking, mix together the oil, fresh basil, garlic, parmesan cheese and seasoning salt.

3. In a separate bowl, mix together the blue cheese dressing with the mustard (this is your dipping sauce)
4. When the chicken is cooked through, toss the wings with the garlic/cheese/olive oil (or butter) sauce. Serve with the blue cheese/mustard dressing.

*Ours looked good at about 30 minutes
*The wings tasted good on their own too but the dip is awesome!

  1. We liked the recipe a lot, but did not have blue cheese dressing--so we made a dip of mayonnaise and honey-dijon mustard. It was a totally different effect but it was good. We had vegetable sticks with it and the dip was good for those too! We also used chicken drums with thighs instead of wings, so it was a main course. GOOD recipe!
